Who are the Friends?

The Friends are a group of citizens who believe in the Library and the importance of its services to the Wilson Borough Community, to it’s neighbors in Glendon, West Easton, and Williams Township and to the Lehigh Valley as a whole.

They believe in the value of books and reading in the lives of the young and the old.

They regard the library not only as a repository of reading materials but as an active and dynamic force for education and culture in the community.

What do they do?

The Friends bridge the communications gap between the Library users, their elected officials, and the Library staff.

Through the years, they have purchased books, magazines, shelving, carpeting, audio/video equipment, library furniture, office equipment, prizes for various contests, and have contributed to library renovations. They are responsible for the Meuser Park Summer Concert Series, the Refreshment Stand, and Bingo for Seniors at Strausser Community Center. They also assist with the Library’s Annual Book Fair.

Let’s be Friends.
